Jurors in the trial of Jared Loughner, the man accused of trying to assassinate Gabrielle Giffords and fatally shooting six others, may see videos recovered from Loughner’s home, officials said Wednesday. Although Loughner is not likely to testify at his trial, officials have recovered videos of his ramblings as well as written statements outlining his plans to carry out an assassination. The case against Loughner is still being discussed, as he has been charged on federal counts of attempting to assassinate Giffords, U.S. Judge John M. Roll, and a Giffords aide, but state charges could come for the deaths of the civilians.
