A gruesome scene depicting the murder of Meredith Kercher has been dropped from Lifetime’s controversial Amanda Knox dramatization, which is set to air on Monday. It’s a small concession for a project that has drawn an uproar of criticism from the family—and legal team—of Amanda Knox, not to mention the family of Kercher, whom Knox has been convicted of murdering by an Italian jury. The scene reportedly showed a half-naked Kercher screaming for her life as she is stabbed by three killers. Despite the cut, Lifetime says it fully intends to go ahead with the project despite threats from Knox’s lawyers.
