President Obama’s staff shakeup continues: White House sources said Monday that Obama will name Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke as the new ambassador to China. Locke, the first Chinese American to hold the Commerce post, has been tapped after forging “important relationships with China’s top political leaders” in his time in the administration and during his two terms as governor of Washington state, a senior official said. Locke will succeed Jon Huntsman, who leaves his post in April to reportedly explore a run for president.
