Lady Gaga has canceled a special edition of her album to be sold exclusively at Target, reportedly due to the retail chain’s gay-rights stance. Lady Gaga agreed to sell the special edition of her gay-rights anthem “Born This Way” at Target last month after the company agreed to affiliate itself with gay charities. “Our relationship is hinged upon their reform in the company to support the gay community and to redeem the mistakes they’ve made supporting these groups,” she said at the time of the decision. But sources said Lady Gaga broke off the deal as Target continued its support of political causes she did not agree with. Target has donated money to a group that supported a gubernatorial candidate who had been linked to a ministry that advocates killing gay people. The retailer has also given $30,000 to anti-gay politicians.
