The FBI has arrested Kevin William Harpham, 36, in connection with a bomb placed in Spokane, Washington on Martin Luther King Day. Sources say Harpham, who was arrested near Addy, Washington, is an ex-soldier who was a member of a leading white supremacist group whose leader inspired Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. White hate groups have a strong presence in nearby Idaho. The bomb was found by city workers in a backpack along the route of a municipal parade on January 17, but it was defused without injury. Dozens of FBI agents have recently gathered in Spokane, but it’s unclear whether more arrests are expected. Harpham will appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
