The parents of the Libyan woman who says she was imprisoned and raped by Gaddafi’s forces say she is still being held in Gaddifi’s compound and that the regime is promising money to keep quiet. In an interview with al-Jazeera, the woman’s parents contradicted the regime’s claims that the woman, Eman al-Obeidi, had been released into her sister’s care. Her mother also said she received a phone call Monday from an unidentified person who told her, "Whatever you ask for, you will get” if she tells her daughter to change her story. “Build a new house or get the money,” promised the caller. A government spokesman said four men were interrogated in the case, but also said that al-Obeidi was a prostitute and that she’d already been freed. On Saturday, al-Obeidi burst into a Tripoli hotel occupied by journalists and quickly told of her imprisonment and rape by Gaddafi’s forces before being shoved into a car and driven away.
