Police have arrested a suspect in the bombing of a Santa Monica, California, synagogue last week: Ron Hirsch, a transient who often visited synagogues looking for charity. He was picked up far from the scene of the crime—in Ohio. After allegedly setting off the bomb, he boarded a New York-bound Greyhound bus. No one was injured in the explosion, which shattered windows and punched a hole in the wall.
