Gaddafi strikes back? Mobs ransacked and then burned to the ground Britain's embassy complex in Tripoli early Sunday and vandalized Italy's. The attack came hours after the regime accused NATO airstrikes of killing Gaddafi's second youngest son and three grandchildren. British Foreign Secretary William Hague gave Libya's ambassador 24 hours to get out of Britain. Meanwhile, the Italian foreign ministry issued a statement citing vandalism on "a number of foreign embassies in Tripoli, including the Italian embassy." Along with the U.S., Britain has been a leader in the international campaign to oust Gaddafi and has launched airstrikes in his country. Italy, previously an ally of Gaddafi, has sided with the rebel Provisional Transitional Council's mission to overtake the Libyan leader.
