Osama bin Laden was killed in a firefight early Sunday morning in a mansion outside Islamabad—although the actual shot that killed him is still unknown. The longtime al Qaeda leader was found in a compound in Abbottabad, about 62 miles from the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. He resisted the assault, causing a 40-minute fight that killed not only him, but all the men with him and a woman that one man used as a shield. Pakistani intelligence officials who also took part in the fight say they don't know who is responsible for the fatal shot to the head that eventually killed bin Laden. While no Americans were killed in the fight, a U.S. helicopter reportedly crashed during the raid due to mechanical problems.
