Looks like the 2011 baseball season has officially begun, with the first no-hitter of the year: The Minnesota Twins’ Francisco Liriano, 27, (2-4) also pitched his first-ever career complete game Tuesday night, throwing 123 pitches in nine innings against the Chicago White Sox. “I can’t explain it,” Liriano said. “I feel so nervous and happy right now.” Liriano is considered the American League comeback kid this season, following an injury in 2007 that kept him on the disabled list and a 5.8 ERA in 2009. It was only the seventh no-hitter in Twins’ history—the last occurred nearly 12 years ago.
