A teammate of renowned cyclist Lance Armstrong tells 60 Minutes the biking star used performance-enhancing drugs while competing—and even on the famed Tour de France. While Armstrong has long been suspected of doping, teammate Tyler Hamilton has alleged that Armstrong used banned substances such as EPO and testosterone as far back as 1999. Hamilton said he used the drugs with Armstrong, who led the U.S. Postal team in the doping. Armstrong “took what we all took,” Hamilton said. Armstrong has always denied the use of any performance-enhancing drugs and has long pointed to his clean record of never failing a drug test, though Hamilton said Armstrong had failed a drug test before the Tour de Swiss race. An interview with Hamilton will air on 60 Minutes on Sunday.
