Better late than never. The California medical board has revoked the license of the fertility doctor who helped Nadya Suleman, already a mother of six, give birth to octuplets two years ago. The panel ruled that Dr. Michael Kamrava “did not exercise sound judgment” when he implanted Suleman with 12 embryos. Kamrava was also accused of being negligent in the case of a 48-year-old woman who suffered complications when she became pregnant with quadruplets, and again when he failed to note abnormal tests in a woman who was later found to have ovarian cancer. The panel rejected Kamrava's lawyer's arguments that the patients were to blame for not terminating the excessive number of pregnancies and that the bad publicity would deter Kamrava from performing such operations in the future.
