Sarah Palin is defending her account of Paul Revere and his midnight ride. "I didn't mess up," Palin told Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday. Last week in Boston she said that Revere "warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms." The main objective of Revere's ride was to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that the British were marching to arrest them. However, the hurry of hooves was not, as Palin claims, a warning to the British that the Americans weren't going to surrender their arms.
