Appeals Judges Wary of Health-Care Law

Federal appeals judges in Atlanta seemed to lean toward striking down all or part of the new health-care law based on their questions in court Wednesday. The three judges repeatedly raised concerns over the mandate that everyone must have insurance and expressed worry that this could open the door for Congress to create other mandates. The panel did not immediately rule on the lawsuit brought by 26 states, a coalition of small businesses, and private individuals who oppose the legislation. So far, the legislation has been upheld by three Democratic-appointed panels and struck down by two Republican-appointed ones.
