Someone’s not afraid of a little controversy: House Homeland Security Chairman Peter King has announced that he will hold a second hearing on the “radicalization of the Muslim-American community,” next week. He said, “At this hearing, we will look specifically at the extent of the dangerous problem of radicalization in U.S. prisons.” King’s March hearings on American Muslims caused international controversy and was condemned by many civil rights groups, who said that it singled out one religion unfairly. In his announcement, King said, “This radicalization hearing, like the one in March, will be a deliberate and thoughtful examination of an issue that is too important for our security to ignore.”
