The International Monetary Fund cannot catch a break. The global financial body, still leaderless after the arrest of former director Dominique Strauss-Kahn, has become the victim of a large and sophisticated cyberattack. The fund hasn't disclosed details of the attack, but officials describe it as “a very major breach.” Concern over the hack even prompted the World Bank to cut the computer link that allows it to share information with the IMF. The fund, which is involved in bailouts of Portugal, Greece, and Ireland, has sensitive information on the financial status of many nations that could move markets if made public.
