The News of the World phone-hacking scandal has had many victims, but will Rupert Murdoch’s son be one of them? James Murdoch, who has been vying to take control of his father’s media empire, made the decision to close the 168-year-old paper, which his father had owned for some 40 years. James has faced criticism as far back as 2007 for News Corp.’s handling of the phone-hacking scandal, when the company blamed a “rogue reporter” for the hacking.
