The Obama Administration, which has been the process of repealing “don’t ask, don’t tell” for months, is now in the strange position of filing court motions to prevent it from happening too fast. It’s asking a California court to reconsider its order last week to immediately block the enforcement of the policy. The federal appeals court in California said “don’t ask, don’t tell” shouldn’t even be in effect in name, but the Obama Administration hopes to have a few more weeks to carry out steps to dismantle it.
