Elizabeth Warren must be thinking onward and upward. The architect of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau hinted Monday that she will run for Senate next year against Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown. If she does decide to run, it will be one of the most closely watched 2012 races. Brown, a former Cosmo centerfold model, won a surprise victory in the 2009 run for the late Sen. Edward Kennedy’s seat and has already raked in $10 million in campaign contributions for 2012, despite some controversial votes.
