The Norway gunman is scheduled to make his first appearance in court Monday morning. Anders Behring Breivik says he wants a chance to explain his actions, but thousands have written on social-networking sites in protest, arguing that he should not have a platform to express his views. Breivik's lawyer, Geir Lippestad, told Norwegian media, "He wished to attack society and the structure of society." The 32-year-old has admitted to both the Olso bombing and the massacre at an island youth camp. He has refused to consider any of the acts to be crimes, describing the attacks as "gruesome but necessary," and is said to be linked to far-right fundamentalist and anti-Islamic organizations. He has also admitted to spending years planning the operation, which killed 96 people. Memorial services were held across the country Sunday, as the victims' bodies were moved to a morgue in Oslo.
