Howard Schultz, the CEO of Starbucks, has canceled an appearance at The Global Leadership Summit, after an online petition called the summit's organizer, Willow Creek Community Church, anti-gay. A spokeswoman for Starbucks said only that Schultz would not appear, but would not say more. Willow Creek’s pastor Bill Hybels said Schultz withdrew as a result of the petition. But he also denied that the megachurch was anti-gay. The church ended its relationship with Exodus International, an evangelical group that formerly advocated "reparative therapy" for gays, two years ago.
