A suspicious package was found at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois on Wednesday morning. Three people were hospitalized, and 13 others had to be decontaminated on site. A spokesperson for the base could not say in what way the package was suspicious. The three taken to the hospital had a rash, and were treated and released. Some worried about the elementary school housed on the base, but classes do not begin until next Tuesday, and officials believe it should be safe. Scott Air Force Base is home of USTRANSCOM, a unit that coordinates communication and the movement of supplies around the world for the entire military. Authorities do not believe the package has anything to do with the anniversary of 9/11.
