It’s shaping up to be a rough morning on Wall Street, with major indexes falling more than 2 percent at the open. The Dow fell 2.5 percent, Standard & Poor’s 2.6 percent, and the Nasdaq 2.4 percent in the first minutes of trading. It briefly looked like European markets might take back some of the ground they lost Monday, when they plummeted 4.1 percent, but by the afternoon the Euro Stoxx 50 index was down 1.7 percent. Japan’s Nikkei dropped 2.2 percent, closing at 8,590.57, its lowest close since April 2009.
