Julie Taymor isn’t going down without a fight. After being ousted from her troubled musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, she has filed suit against the show’s producers, saying they violated her creative rights and failed to compensate her for her work. Taymor was fired and replaced in March after the show was critically panned, its opening indefinitely delayed, and its cast repeatedly injured. Since it opened in June, the show has been doing strong enough business to stay viable, even with a $75 million budget that makes it the most expensive Broadway musical of all time.
