Add this to the list of life’s ironies: three wealthy money managers came forward Monday as the winners of a $254.2 million Powerball jackpot from a $1 lottery ticket. Greg Skidmore, Brandon Lacof, and Tim Davidson, who work together at an asset-management firm in Greenwich, Conn., established the Putnam Avenue Family Trust to help manage the money after they bought the winning ticket at a Stamford gas station. The group’s attorney said the after-tax lump sum of nearly $104 million will go into the trust, and a significant amount will go to charity. The jackpot is the largest ever won in Connecticut.
