Fitch Ratings agency has warned the U.S. that it faces a credit-rating downgrade if the country cannot find a “credible” way to curb its debt over the next two years. As part of the warning, Fitch gave America’s triple-A rating a negative outlook. “The negative outlook reflects Fitch’s declining confidence that timely fiscal measures necessary to place US public finances on a sustainable path and secure the US triple A sovereign rating will be forthcoming,” the company said in a note.
