Dozens of dead birds were found in Beebe, Arkansas on Sunday—one year after 5,000 dead birds were found in the same area. The state’s Game and Fish Commission said Sunday they had yet to determine an official cause of the death for the 50 to 80 birds, but they believe the birds died after being startled by fireworks. Beebe, about 40 miles north of Little Rock, is a frequent spot where birds migrate. This is the second New Year’s Day in a row where large amounts of dead birds were found, after 5,000 birds were found dead last year.
