A day after Newt Gingrich bought an ex-Romney adviser's anti-Mitt video, the former speaker of the House was asked whether he stood by calling Romney a liar and a predator during Romney's days at Bain Capital. Gingrich said he was only referring to news reports that Bain “looted” companies, and asked Romney whether he stood by his super PAC's negative ads. “Anything wrong I'm opposed to,” Romney said, but challenged Gingrich on what in the ads was wrong, checking off points that he thought were accurate. Both candidates perhaps came off as whining about the ads while partaking in negative campaigning themselves.
