Remember when ”Winning Our Future,” the pro-Gingrich super PAC, announced it would spend $3.4 million to flood South Carolina’s airwaves with ads promoting Newt and slamming Mitt Romney? Well the group has indeed spent a lot of money in the state—$1.6 million in advertising time to be exact—but that’s less than half of the pronounced $3.4 million. The group’s TV ads are only slated to run through January 16, while radio ads will play through primary day, January 21. Time is running out for the super PAC to make good on their promise, as they’re not the only group scrambling to buy up ads ahead of the South Carolina primary.
