Ron Paul may be all for steep cuts to government spending, but when it comes to traveling, the Texas congressman spares no expense. The Associated Press has discovered that Paul prefers to fly first class, and has done so on at least 31 round-trip flights and 12 one-way flights since May 2009. At between $1,217 and $1,311 a pop, these government-rate tickets cost taxpayers $51,972 for Paul’s travel between Washington and Houston from May 2009 to March 2011.
