Their presidential campaigns may have fizzled out, but Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, and Herman Cain are still stars in the eyes of the Republican Party. The three most entertaining former candidates took the stage at CPAC Thursday to talk to conservative activists about their trials on the campaign trail. "Running for president of the United states is really one series of humiliations after another," admitted Bachmann, before turning her attention to foreign policy and Barack Obama's failings. Perry, on the other hand, explained what happened to his campaign by quoting a Texas A&M saying: "Aggies never lose. We just run out of time ... So you could say that my presidential campaign just ran out of time." That quote doesn't exactly apply here, since Perry dropped out of the race after the second primary, but we get what he was going for. The Newt Gingrich supporter also took the opportunity to criticize Mitt Romney. "We need to stop pretending that the main goal of Republican governance is to do the same thing as Democrats, but just don't spend so much money," he said. "We can't tinker our way to victory."
