Newt Gingrich loves a good scare tactic. Like fellow candidate Rick Santorum, Newt has warned voters of impending attacks on the U.S. by Iran. Now he’s declared that beating President Obama in the 2012 election is a “duty of national security.” The presidential hopeful argued that the Obama administration won’t “talk accurately about radical Islam” and that “it’s dangerous to America,” on CBS’s This Morning. Gingrich also criticized Obama’s decision to keep the U.S.’s role in Egypt’s conflict limited last year, insisting, “This is an administration that no country really trusts,” and that “this is a president who routinely obeys those laws he personally views fit,” referring to such policies as opposing the Keystone pipeline and promoting efficient cars.
