Mitt Romney is the gaffe that keeps on giving. The presidential hopeful was at it again Wednesday, saying he opposed the Republican effort to push an amendment through Congress giving employers the right to refuse coverage of any health care service they find immoral, and then promptly taking it back. His flip flop was fodder not just for Democrats who dislike both Romney and the controversial amendment, but Romney's Republican opponents as well. The Santorum-backing Red, White and Blue Fund's spokesman called Romney's backtracking, "par for the course." And a spokesman for his campaign wrote "We all know Romney's liberal record on this, so when he's asked a question about a bill that would protect our religious freedom--and Romney's gut reaction is to say he'd oppose it," taking the opportunity to point out that "Rick Santorum was asked the same question, but he wasn't confused because Rick Santorum has consistently supported religious freedoms."
