Mitt Romney has grabbed a new lead over his fellow Republican presidential candidates, beating Rick Santorum by the largest margin he's seen in weeks. According to a new Gallup poll out Friday, Mitt has the support of 40 percent of American Republicans, while only 26 percent back Rick Santorum. This is the highest percentage of support Romney or any other candidate has reached since Gallup began surveying Republican voters in November. The frontrunner has seen a surge of six points just this week since he won the the Illinois primary this Tuesday, while Santorum actually lost four points.
