John Sununu, the former governor of New Hampshire and a Mitt Romney surrogate, said Monday that Rick Santorum definitely won’t be Mitt’s pick for VP if he’s nominated. “You want somebody who adds to the ticket," he told National Review. “You also want somebody who has the right credentials and is credible—somebody who the public agrees could be president. That filter gives you seven to ten people to choose from, and then you choose among them who gives you the best political impact.” He also argued that Santorum “has shown, emotionally, softness under pressure. If anyone asked me personally, I would suggest that it’s a problem.”
