Casey Anthony Defamation Case to Proceed

A judge ruled on Thursday that the defamation case filed against Casey Anthony by a Kissimmee woman will proceed to trial. Zenaida Gonzalez says Anthony destroyed her reputation when she told authorities that a nanny with the same name had kidnapped her daughter Caylee. During a visitation session, Anthony said, "When they went and interviewed that girl down in Kissimmee, they never showed me a picture of her." Gonzalez’s attorneys say that statement implicates their client and suggests that she was the nanny, since she was the only Zenaida Gonzalez interviewed in Kissimmee. The civil trial will begin in January 2013.
