President Obama's current visit to North Carolina might be the perfect opportunity to address the subject of gay marriage since in two weeks the state will hold a a referendum vote on a measure banning civil unions and domestic partnerships for gay couples. But instead, the president will speak about college loans. And while he's aiming to appeal to students in this college town, some are disappointed that he's not taking on the gay-marriage issue.
