Before Democrats go after Scott Walker in the Wisconsin gubernatorial recall election, they must first settle on a candidate, and the short primary is already starting to get ugly. Union-backed candidate Kathleen Falk attacked her Democratic opponent, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett Tuesday, accusing him of not wanting to recall the governor and of encouraging Walker to subject more public employees to his restrictive collective bargaining laws. Barrett joined the race later than Falk and missed out on most of the big union endorsements. He asked all of his fellow Democrats to sign a "clean campaign pledge" and, though Falk refused to sign, she promised to stay positive.
