White House Press Secretary Jay Carney countered accusations Wednesday that President Obama is going all Hollywood on us. He may be hobnobbing with the celebrity likes of George Clooney and Anna Wintour, but the majority of the funds that keep his campaign afloat come from small-time donors. “The difference between President Obama’s support, financial support and his opponent’s is stark, but not in the way that you describe,” Carney told reporters while aboard Air Force One on their way to California for more fabulous fundraisers. “The fundamental difference is President Obama has vast numbers of small donors who support his campaign.” Carney argued. “That is not the case for the Republican nominee.”
