Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch died Thursday at the age of 66. His wife discovered him at his home in Nashville around noon. Welch apparently dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Nashville Metro police spokesperson Don Aaron. Aaron said that Welch left a suicide note and that he had recently had health issues. Welch was a guitarist and vocalist for Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974, before the band achieved star status in 1975. He was not inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with other members in 1998.
