The former New York congressman who made a spectacle of himself on Twitter has $4.5 million in his coffers and is “seriously considering” running for mayor of the Big Apple, sources told the New York Post. “I’ve heard he is seriously thinking about getting into a citywide race in 2013 and would like it to be mayor,” a source told the Post. “In his mind, he’s trying to figure out how to run for mayor.” Another option for the Democratic politician, who has been lying low since he gave the Internet a look at his man parts last year, may be to run for public advocate and consider a shot at mayor in 2017. “The general feeling is that you can’t text pictures of your penis to a girl, then lie about it, then get kicked out of the House, and then run for mayor right after,” one political consultant said.
