New York City and much of the Northeast was hit by a super storm known as derecho on Thursday night. A tornado was reported in Elmira, New York, and a tornado warning was issued for parts of New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts. More than 800 flights across the Northeast were canceled, with 162 of those at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The storm, which will stretch from Cincinnati to Hartford, could affect 32 million people. A similar storm hit Washington D.C. last month and 24 deaths were attributed to the storm and its aftermath.
