Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) has been off the grid for over a month, after taking congressional medical leave in early June. It emerged Saturday that Jackson is currently being treated for depression as well as gastrointestinal issues at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. "Further information will be released as Congressman Jackson's evaluation proceeds," the hospital announced. Jackson first went on leave June 10, and his office spent several weeks issuing and then updating various explanations, from "exhaustion" to an unnamed "mood disorder." The congressman is currently under ethics investigation in the House over connections to former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.
