A magnitude-7.4 earthquake shook the coast of El Salvador on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake struck about 110 miles southeast of San Salvador, the capital, and there was no report of serious damage or injuries. A tsunami warning was issued for other countries along the quake-prone Ring of Fire—including Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua—but no large waves were reported as a result of the earthquake.
