Paul Ryan has entered primetime. The Wisconsin Republican accepted the vice-presidential nomination Wednesday night and rallied the Republican National Convention in a speech where he slammed President Obama as being “adrift.” “I hope you understand this, too, if you’re feeling left out or passed by: you have not failed, your leaders have failed you,” Ryan told the cheering crowd in Tampa. Ryan’s speech wasn’t an emotional call to arms, instead he used policy to attack Obama. But the speech had several moments when Ryan criticized the president even though he either supported a similar policy, or had pushed for Obama’s plan to fail. All eyes on Thursday are on Mitt Romney, who will take to the stage to accept the party’s nomination. Romney watched Ryan’s speech at a pizza party with his grandchildren.
