For the fourth year in a row, Novak Djokovic is heading to the U.S. Open finals. Djokovic, the defending champ, held off David Ferrer of Spain 2–6, 6–1, 6–4, 6–2. Djokovic dropped the first set after a rain delay extended the match into Sunday, but came back sharper and more focused after the long break. He dominated the next three sets to take the match, seeming to understand that he’d need to get off the court as soon as possible to recover for Monday’s final, where he’ll face Andy Murray.
