Well, that didn’t go as planned. Apple’s new map app—designed to take the place of Google Maps on iOS 6, the company’s newest mobile operating system—was met with a high volume of complaints. The cause of the derision? The software mislabeled landmarks, left out key roads, and showed imaginary airports. A “Give me back my Google Maps” group quickly formed on social-networking sites. A spokeswoman for Apple said the company will be updating the program and is “working hard to make the customer experience even better.”
