Americans are entitled to freedom of speech, but it doesn’t come without a cost. Conservative blogger Pamela Geller won a court order to post an ad equating Muslim radicals with savages in New York City subway stations. Geller said she filed suit Thursday in Washington D.C. after officials declined to put the ad up in the capital’s transit system in light of violent protests in the Middle East over the anti-Islam film ridiculing the Prophet Muhammad. Geller apparently had less trouble getting the ad to run on San Francisco buses, though that didn’t’ stop artists from defacing them. New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority called the ad “demeaning.”
