What a missed bargain. Earlier this month, an auction house announced its intent to sell what it believed was a tiny Renoir painting bought for $7 at a flea market. Now that auction has been cancelled after investigation revealed that the painting is probably the same one that was stolen from the Baltimore Museum of Art in 1951. Now the FBI is investigating and museum officials are left trying to figure out how the painting didn't make it onto a national registry of stolen and lost art.
