Iraqi security forces have taken back control of a Tikrit prison Friday morning after Iraqi militants seized control on Thursday night and caused a riot. The attack began when a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb outside Tasfirat prison, about 100 miles northwest of Baghdad, which soon led to clashes between militants and guards. In all, 12 guards were killed and 90 inmates were freed during the attack. The attackers reportedly made off with a police car and weapons taken from prison guards.
